  belt_chicometepec_13.JPG - These red belts are similar in design to the Totonacan belts worn in nearby communities. It is entirely possible that these peoples are Totonacan who were taught to speak Nahuatl , or rather forced . The heavey wool skirt are useful because it is cool there much of the year because of the altitude.
